Calle has been growing quite well. Her personality has really blossomed over the past several weeks. A month or two ago she was quite content just to keep to herself and watch Christian make a fuss, but lately she has wanted in on the action. She plays a lot, smiles often, and gets fussy more than in the past, which is alright by us.

She had an appointment last week with Neurosurgery. Dr. Brockmeyer was very pleased with how she is doing, and we don't have to check back in with them until the end of July.

Calle is still not seeming to catch on to bottle-feeding, so we\'re coming to the conclusion that she may never bottle-feed, and may just go on to solid foods. Lia has started feeding her rice cereal and she seems to do all right. She still has pretty serious reflux. We continue to remind ourselves that it is simply "the inconvenient type" of reflux (as opposed to the more harmful reflux type where aspiration occurs or the stomach does not empty, or surgery is needed). We're told she'll grow out of it. In the mean time, we continue to give her medication and keep cleaning up. She doesn't get to play as much because she needs to be upright more -- which supposedly helps.

Happy Mothers Day -we think Calle noticed that Christian was done with his oxygen and she decided to be done as well. In the day she doesn’t need it and does great on room air. At night, however, when she is sleeping deeply, she apparently breathes a little too slow and she desaturates somewhat. To compensate for her deep sleeping we turn the oxygen back on and this seems to work well for all of us. Every few days we check her to see if she still needs the oxygen, we know if won't be long.
