We've been tag-teaming to try to keep up with Christian. He is going full speed from wake up (on a good day, 7:30 AM) to bedtime (on a good day, 8:30 PM). Some nights he wakes up several times and wants to get the day started early, leaving mom and dad exhausted for the next day. Christian gets tired as well when he is up all night, but instead of taking a nap he just gets cranky.

Christian sits wonderfully now and can keep himself entertained for short periods of time on the floor with his toys. He can roll around great and he's been working on the army crawl for forward motion. We're expecting that any day now he'll realize he can crawl and then we'll have to batten down the hatches around the house.

Christian is such a big eater these days, taking 4 to 5 oz. each bottle feeding and several tablespoons of food. He is anxiously awaiting the time when he can eat real food, as the sweet potatoes and corn puree mixed with rice cereal leaves a little to be desired. Actually, Christian will be eating solids sooner than we know it, he just cut his 4th tooth.

Grandma Goldsberry helped watch Christian on Monday and Tuesday when Calle had her G-tube surgery at Primary Children's in late July. He had a great time and we're sure that Grandma and Grandpa slept well both nights!

We went to the LDS Hospital NICU reunion on Saturday, August 7th. It was interesting to see familiar faces and their babies outside of the NICU environment. We saw a few of the kids first nurses. We met up with the Belnaps, and of course, it's always fun to see Aiden and Liam and Kaleb. Christian couldn't get enough of the plastic cups, one of his new favorite chew toys.
Also, in early August, we had the longest eye check-up appointment of our life. The news was what we had been expecting for some time, the twins needed glasses. So, within a week, Christian and his sister were fitted for eye glasses by the nice people at the Moran Eye Center Optical Department. Their glasses are made special for infants by Fisher Price. Yes, really...Fisher Price. Christian, surprisingly doesn't mind his glasses. We actually thought he would be the difficult one, we guess he's trying to be an example for his sister.

For the birthday "Roundup" Christian had all of his duds on, boots hat, plaid shirt and all. He had a tough go with his presents, just wanting to eat the wrapping paper and not to interested in the toy. It seems, Christian's favorite gifts are. well... everything! He didn't even want to go to bed that night, he was having too much fun playing. When mom didn't finally put him to bed, it only took approximately 8.4 minutes and he was out cold- too much fun!
